Havana, Sep 7 (Prensa Latina) The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) will request the start of peace dialogue on October 8 in Norway.
Guerrilla Commander Mauricio Jaramillo said in Havana Conventions Palace “this issue caps the agenda” while detailing the talks with the government of Colombia to end the 50-year conflict.
Jaramillo, head of the exploratory group to the talks with Juan Manuel Santos Administration, confirmed Iván Márquez and José Santriz as members of the negotiating team.
On the extradition, the FARC Commander said the guerrilla opposes extraditions on grounds of sovereignty and principles and denied any kidnapped in power of the guerrilla, while stressing on the will to achieve peace.
In videotape promoted during the press conference, the head of the FARC Rodrigo Londoño Echeverri (Timochenko) regretted the toll for decades of conflict in Colombia and mentioned the deaths, wounded, displaced and the victims in general whom he brandished powerful reason “to persevere without truce in this fight for peace.”
