TONY EASTLEY: New South Wales police have formed a strike force to investigate the violent protests in Sydney at the weekend. So far six people have been arrested.
Police have this morning revealed that a text message, sent out to thousands of people encouraging them to join the protests, was computer generated and now they want to find the owner of that computer.
The text message referred to an anti-Islam film produced in the US. The message read in part: ‘They are mocking him in a movie, why are we allowing this, why are we silenced, we must defend his honour.’
The message gave a time and place to meet in central Sydney.
