JENIN, March 20, 2012 WAFA – An Israeli military court in Salem, near Jenin, Tuesday extended the remand of a dog-bitten protester and another activist from the village of Kufr Qaddoum, near Qalqilya, by six days, said reports.Ahmad Shtawi, who was attacked by an Israeli army dog during the weekly Friday anti-settlements protests in Kufr Qaddoum, appeared in court to get his arrest extended in spite of his wounds, said the reports.Morad Shtawi, who was also arrested for trying to help Ahmad, also had his detention extended by24 hours.The defense attorney for Ahmad demanded his immediate release on claim of excessive violence used against him when the dog attacked him.
