Anger at tonight ‘s meeting was driven by media reports that Hall was shot by police 46 times and that police microphones and cameras didn’t work the night of the incident. Saginaw Police and Michigan State Police have refused NBC25 requests for comment pending the outcome of the investigation, which is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings.
Saginaw Pastor Robert Davis Junior says the officers should not be paid while on leave. “Why are the officers at home on vacation on taxpayer dollars?” said Davis, “I ask that the mayor, city council, chief of police, whomever, take them off the payroll until the investigation is complete.”
