Jaramillo, head of the exploratory group to the talks with Juan Manuel Santos Administration, confirmed Iván Márquez and José Santriz as members of the negotiating team.

On the extradition, the FARC Commander said the guerrilla opposes extraditions on grounds of sovereignty and principles and denied any kidnapped in power of the guerrilla, while stressing on the will to achieve peace.

In videotape promoted during the press conference, the head of the FARC Rodrigo Londoño Echeverri (Timochenko) regretted the toll for decades of conflict in Colombia and mentioned the deaths, wounded, displaced and the victims in general whom he brandished powerful reason “to persevere without truce in this fight for peace.”

Aotearoa: A Wider Perspective

"The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact." George Orwell
