granma.cu – Revolutionary government decision

Taking into account the magnitude of the damage caused in municipalities affected by Hurricane Sandy in the provinces of Holguín, Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo and the losses suffered by the population, the government has decided that the state budget will allow a discount of 50% on current prices of construction materials to be sold to families whose homes have been totally or partially destroyed. This means that those affected will pay just half of the price of these products.Persons affected who have already brought construction materials will also have the right to this discount retroactively, upon presenting documentary evidence of the purchase.
