“The silent marches realized in some localities in the state of Chiapas last December 21, marked the return of the Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN, its initials in Spanish) and of its representative Subcomandante Marcos, to the country’s public and political life” asserts the polling company Parametría in a national study about the theme, held in January, which showed that for 44 (percent) of those polled the movement “continues alive.”
