14 August 2015 –- The Foundation to Fight Corruption (FFC), a public initiative founded by the blogger and opposition leader, Alexei Navalnyi, received a warning from state authorities regarding its practices. Roskomnadzor, a state authority controlling over the media and information, warns that the FFC is breaking Russian federal law no. 139-FZ “On protection of children from information causing harm for their health and development”. In the warning, Roskomnadzor specifies that the FFC’s short film about corruption in the pro-Kremlin political party “United Russia”, is damaging the children’s health and development. The group has since broadcasted the warning publicly via its youtube channel.
