To replace the departing staffers, Brazile announced a transition team that will help fill key roles at the DNC until a new chair is chosen early next year. Tom McMahon, a former executive director at the DNC who served under former chairman Howard Dean, will chair the transition team and help with general-election efforts. Also joining the DNC on an interim basis is Doug Thornell, a Democratic strategist at SKD Knickerbocker in DC; he’ll serve as a senior adviser.Brandon Davis, who came on board at the DNC in June as the chief of staff and has been coordinating efforts with the Clinton campaign, Brazile announced, will continue in his new position.
