Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) suggested Trump is an “ass” for sharing the video. “clASSy,” he wrote on Twitter.

Rep. Adam Schiff — the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, which is among the congressional panels investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and any links to the Trump campaign — called it “juvenile” behavior.

“It is distressing to have a president that frankly will tweet and retweet things as juvenile as that,” Schiff, of California, said on ABC’s “This Week.” “It doesn’t help, I think, in terms of his stature and doesn’t help in terms of the stature of our whole country.”

The video of Clinton is from 2011, when the then-secretary of state tripped entering a plane in Yemen. By late Sunday afternoon, the retweet had more than 17,000 replies.
